Uganda's ban on vehicles older than 15 years forces the country to import only modern vehicles with sophisticated digital systems. Yet our mechanics lack the training to diagnose these systems. The result: viable, expensive vehicles are abandoned at roadside garages and eventually scrapped, wasting billions in transport infrastructure.

This program aligns vehicle import policy with mechanic capabilities—ensuring that every new car imported is met with a trained, certified technician who can diagnose and service it professionally.

Every new vehicle registered in the URA database automatically triggers diagnostic data updates. This ensures Uganda's diagnostic database stays in lockstep with vehicle imports.
